In October 1987, Dr. Varadarajan visited the island group of Lakshadweep to research about the indegenous navigation traditions of Lakshadweep. During the trip, she clicked many glimpses of the island group. The photo series below covers a range - the sewn boats called Odam, and people from the communities.
